Far-sighted in its energy initiatives, Tameside Council responds to government energy targets and pro-actively implements sustainability schemes. They address National Indicator 185 which requires CO2 reduction from local authority operations and participate in the Carbon Trust‟s Carbon Management Programme which requires a 10% reduction in overall CO2 emissions by 2015.
